As a BIM Coordinator at The Austin Company, you will take on more advanced responsibilities in supporting the BIM Manager and project teams. You will play a key role in the development, coordination, and management of BIM models, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards. This position is ideal for individuals with some experience in BIM looking to further their career in the design and construction industry.

Requirements

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in conducting clash detection and model audits.

Preferred Education And Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a BIM-related role.
Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 19650.
Familiarity with project management software and tools.

Travel Required

Yes, up to 15% travel may be necessary.

Summary

Model Coordination Responsibilities

Integrate models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) into a cohesive project model.
Identify and resolve model conflicts and discrepancies.
Maintain a log of coordination issues and track their resolution status.
Develop and implement model coordination workflows and best practices.
