We are looking for a skilled Project Coordinator to oversee and manage various aspects of structural and residential construction projects. This role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and engineers to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction processes, engineering principles, and project management techniques.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a thorough understanding of company products, procedures, and customer service principles.
• Lead and manage structural design projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and field managers to address structural requirements and resolve challenges.
• Conduct detailed analyses of building components to evaluate materials, load cases, and design efficiency.
• Perform field inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and recommend necessary repairs or modifications.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, construction drawings, specifications, and schedules for project approval.
• Oversee project timelines and budgets to ensure tasks are completed within scope and deadlines.
• Research and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Communicate regularly with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and maintain satisfaction.
• Review and assess the work of others for adherence to structural engineering standards and code compliance.
• Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Enercalc, and experience working in Revit.
• Knowledge of residential construction and structural engineering principles.
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural or residential engineering, including design and site inspections.
• Licensed Engineer (PE) or eligibility for reciprocity; structural engineering certification (SE) is a plus.
