Role Description
This is a hybrid Node.js Developer role based in Pleasanton, CA, with the flexibility for some remote work. The selected individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js. The role includes implementing scalable and efficient server-side solutions, debugging and optimizing existing code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business requirements. The candidate will ensure code quality through testing and participate in code reviews to deliver robust solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and building RESTful APIs
- Experience with JavaScript, ES6+, and asynchronous programming principles
- Knowledge of databases including MongoDB or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with authentication mechanisms like JWT and OAuth
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Keen problem-solving skills and a focus on producing efficient, maintainable solutions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for teamwork and cross-departmental interaction
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Prior experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus
