Role Description
Arlington Construction Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Estimator to join our team on-site in Birmingham, AL. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing project cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, collaborating with project managers, sourcing cost-effective materials, and ensuring detailed and accurate budgets. Daily tasks include reviewing project plans and specifications, estimating material, labor, and equipment costs, and maintaining proper documentation of estimates.
Qualifications
- Experience in cost estimation, material takeoff, and budget preparation
- Experience in multi-family construction or similar
- Experience in design collaboration
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting project blueprints and specifications
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and general computer skills
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team and clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
