The Construction Control Representative serves as a construction representative in the Construction Division providing the Deputy Director and/or Resident Engineer with a wide range of expertise in architectural, construction, and engineering matters.
In This Position, You Will
- Coordinate on-site inspections during construction and determine that all foundations, structural, mechanical/electrical, and architectural features are installed in compliance with contract plans and specifications.
- Compile information necessary to formulate reports, presentations, or documentation for construction engineering assignments.
- Resolve unusual situations including structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural.
- Troubleshoot construction problems that are unprecedented or present multidisciplinary consideration and need to be integrated into the design.
- Direct a team of representatives assigned to a project from inception through completion.

Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for this position if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the
GS-11 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position
specialized experience is defined as inspecting and evaluating components for compliance with plans and specifications; reading, understanding, creating, and evaluating a construction schedule for project greater than $5 million; developing cost estimates; and reviewing and negotiating change orders.
