Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Building Engineer located in Denver, CO. The Lead Building Engineer will oversee building maintenance tasks and ensure the proper functioning of facilities. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, managing repairs, troubleshooting plumbing issues, and implementing effective facility management strategies. The role requires hands-on work and leadership to maintain a safe, efficient, and operational environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Provides an exceptional level of customer service by assisting tenants and team members as scheduled;
- Performs or oversees repairs to the facility, structure, equipment and grounds, including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Assesses and refers complex maintenance and repair work to outside contractors as appropriate;
- Provides operational oversight of all building automation systems;
- Bids and negotiates vendor contracts at the direction of the Property Manager, and provides vendor and contractor oversight;
- Creates and implements preventive maintenance and inspection programs for building specific systems; oversees scheduling for vendors and staff;
- Maintains inventory of building supplies and materials, replenishing them when necessary, within the confines of the budget for each location;
- Provides on-call emergency support 24/7, on rotation with other property employees;
- Provides basic system training and supervision for engineering and porter staff as necessary;
- Ensures compliance with fire life safety systems;
- Assumes additional duties as assigned;

Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- Minimum five years’ experience in building/facility maintenance
- Minimum two years’ construction management experience
- EPA Universal Certification
- NATE Certification
- City of Denver Stationary Engineer License
- High School Diploma or GED and valid Colorado driver’s license required
