Role description:
We are seeking a highly experienced individual to support the implementation of UK Government Programme New Hospital Programme BIM standards across a range of commissioned projects and to take the leadership of our BIM engagement and input into driving improvements in the programmatic approach to the delivery of a new model of healthcare infrastructure.
We are seeking a Senior Technical lead to join our team as part of UK and Ireland Design Services team, with a pure focus on the New Hospital Programme across the UK.
This challenge will give you the opportunity to focus on a range of significant scale projects as part of a high profile government programme In this position, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence and excellence in delivery in healthcare.
Role accountabilities:
- Perform various Building Information Models (BIM) tasks such as producing, reviewing and managing project drawings and documentations as part of a central government programme delivery of works, leading the Arcadis BIM integration into the programme.
- Take the leadership in understanding programmatic BIM objectives, contractual obligations, KPI and define the approach to maximise our delivery, with a focus on long term programmatic benefits.
- Perform and checking models ensuring that they meet Arcadis and NHP programmatic standards.
- Owning, managing the process of information development, and monitoring for compliance. Leads the implementation of active measures to prevent including training programme across our teams.
- Client facing role both in terms of commissioned projects and central NHP engagement.
- Ensure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan (associated document relation to the NHP BIM toolkit) and champion fulfilment of the plan throughout the project’s lifecycle, and address through active training and monitoring the
- Be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of the models at a programmatic level and liaising with other organisations BIM leadership to evolve and drive the programmatic approach.
- Act in a leadership capacity to assist the BIM Team for both Design and Production
- Keep an eye on coordination and troubleshooting, and act as a subject matter expert on BIM related issues while maintaining best practices
- Maintain constant communication with the Global and Regional Design Advisory Lead to ensure bi-direction communication between staff and the region
- Act as the leader across a team of project specific BIM teams.
- Support of clients in respect to soft landings and establishment of operational approaches including being an informed ‘educator’ to both clients and end users in respect to the data chain.
