Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer located in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects from start to finish. Key responsibilities include designing and reviewing mechanical systems, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, managing project timelines and budgets, and conducting research and development to ensure innovative and efficient project solutions. The role will require collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering services.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles with expertise in Machine Design
- Strong skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Experience in Project Management, including handling timelines, budgets, and team coordination
- Knowledge and experience in Research and Development (R&D) for innovative design solutions
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy-efficient design is a plus
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional accreditation or certification, such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), is desirable
