Building Technician (Full‑Time) – DoubleTree New Orleans Airport
DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans Airport is hiring a full‑time
Building Technician (formal title: Building Engineer). This role helps keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and fully operational for our guests and team.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, laundry equipment, and pool systems
- Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas
- Respond to work orders and use Quore daily
- Maintain hotel grounds and building exterior
- Keep maintenance shop clean, organized, and secure
- Assist guests and team members professionally and courteously
- Report safety hazards or emergencies to management
- Support hotel security and follow all policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Mechanical/maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills
- Able to lift 60 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work indoors/outdoors
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
- Reliable, professional, and team‑oriented
