Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed structural calculations for façade and building enclosure systems, ranging from simple to complex projects.
- Ensure all drawings are aligned with the developed system design and engineering intent.
- Prepare schematics, sketches, and preliminary reports to support concept-stage design development.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Team Leader and Design Managers to deliver coordinated solutions.
- Participate in technical meetings and design workshops alongside Senior Engineers and Engineering Managers.
- Support site activities, including testing and inspections, as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional licensure or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in structural design, specifically related to façade or curtain wall systems (entry-level candidates may also be considered).
- Strong technical report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in engineering FEA analysis and simulation tools, including STAAD.Pro, SolidWorks Simulation, SJ Mepla, Mathcad, and IDEA StatiCa.
- Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel for complex engineering calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong expertise in drafting and 3D modelling using AutoCAD and SketchUp Pro.
- Sound knowledge of façade systems and building enclosure design principles.
- Good understanding of design stages, including concept, shop drawings, fabrication, and installation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
