Assignment Length: Contract through August 2026
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Monday–Sunday, including nights, weekends, and holidays)

Position Summary
The Critical Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of a mission-critical data center by performing building maintenance, monitoring systems, and ensuring the reliability of all mechanical and electrical infrastructure. This is a fully onsite role requiring flexibility for rotating shifts and potential emergency call-ins.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and general maintenance on facility systems and equipment
- Conduct daily facility rounds to log readings and perform visual inspections
- Complete scheduled maintenance (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and emergencies
- Monitor critical systems such as electrical, HVAC, chilled water, and piping systems
- Perform light maintenance on data center equipment
- Escort and oversee contractors, vendors, and visitors onsite
- Assist with tenant improvement and construction-related activities
- Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Additional Duties
- Respond to tenant service requests
- Utilize basic computer systems (email, mobile apps, Microsoft Office)
- Support general facility operations as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial building maintenance experience
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, or HVAC systems
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills preferred
- Basic understanding of building systems and safe work practices
- Willingness and ability to learn data center operations and procedures

Work Environment & On-Call Expectations
This is a 24/7 mission-critical facility. While there is no formal on-call rotation, technicians may be contacted outside scheduled hours for emergency support, shift coverage, or urgent operational needs!
