Summary of Position:
The BIM Manager is responsible for governance, execution, and continuous improvement of BIM processes across all projects involving Technology systems such as structured cabling, AV, and physical security.
The BIM Manager will lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of BIM processes across all CRUX projects. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, automation, and consistency in project delivery through advanced use of Autodesk platforms and custom workflows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:
BIM standards and templates:
- Develop, publish, and enforce company BIM standards.
- Maintain all templates, family libraries, and project setup protocols.
Define and enforce:
- LOD standards
- Naming conventions
- Model structuring
- Data requirements
- Lead BIM Execution Plan (BEP) creation and enforcement.
- Alignment between model and 2D deliverables.
Oversee project model quality by ensuring models are clash-free, constructable and aligned with installation best practices for the systems being modeled.
Manage Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.
Lead BIM QA/QC processes across multiple design teams.
Train and manage BIM staff.
Coordinate with clients and consultants on BIM efforts and developments
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce project risk
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may have supervisory responsibilities including, but not limited to, managing BIM staff performance and adherence to standards and deadlines.
Essential Qualifications:
- 7+ years BIM experience required.
- Administration and optimization of REVIT, AutoCAD, Dynamo and related platforms.
- Manage BIM libraries and standards.
- Develop and improve templates, details and legends.
- Develop automation scripts (Dynamo) to improve efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal are a must.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD required.
- Working knowledge of Dynamo required.
- Strong Autodesk Construction Cloud (formerly PlanGrid) experience required.
- REVIT certification preferred.
- 3+ years Leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in Division 27/28 system preferred.
- ArchiCAD interoperability experience preferred.
Work Environment:
This position will primarily be working in a hybrid office environment.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
