H&E require a full-time Studio BIM Support to assist with the H&E “Project Delivery Overhaul” (PDO) project to standardize and elevate the practice’s technical capabilities whilst providing technical support to our design & documentation teams. The aim is to overhaul our systems and resources to maximise our efficiency whilst maintaining the high quality of design and deliverables that we are renowned for.
Job Summary
Your role will require you to meet regularly, report to and collaborate with the LT (Leadership Team) to coordinate progress of the PDO roll-out and respond to BIM related workflow issues as they occur.
This project has many facets including the following Core Objectives:
· Develop & maintain clear design and documentation standards and project templates (Revit based)
· Develop & maintain H&E’s component library and other resources (Revit based)
· Develop & maintain standard working procedures that reflect the H&E way of design and documentation.
· Develop & maintain an easily accessible knowledge base of information and resources for our design and documentation teams to reference.
· Establishing an in-house training program and associated resources.
· Facilitating the training and up-skilling of teams as the PDO rolls-out.
· Assisting with the testing and implementation of new software and tools, including AI enhanced applications.
· Reviewing PDO progress and auditing compliance through the periodic review of current projects.
· Assist with the implementation and maintenance of H&E’s design and administrative technology platforms. This will entail handling hardware and software support and maintenance. Note that technical IT and administrative support is outsourced. This aspect of the role is not intended to consume a significant amount of your time.
The success of the PDO will require that the candidate engages productively with the internal practice teams, providing an audit process that will be set weekly and determined by the LT.
The PDO project is expected to run over the course of the next 12-18 months. Progress will be monitored weekly and reported monthly.
This person must be a comfortable communicator, capable of effectively liaising with H&E’s LT, our teams and colleagues. This person must possess a desire to contribute to H&E journey toward continual improvement in our individual and collective capacity to deliver exceptional design solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess
· Tertiary qualification in architecture or design (as applicable).
· 3+ years’ work experience in a Revit design practice is essential.
· A proven ability to interpret and prepare standards and procedures associated with design and documentation.
· Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to develop relationships on all levels.
· An open and collaborative approach to problem solving.
· A good understanding and knowledge of construction documentation, materials, structures, building services and the like.
· An awareness of statutory building compliance.
· A capacity to work autonomously and deliver the targets prescribed by the PDO and an ability to adapt and embrace change when required.
· Advanced Autodesk Revit BIM experience.
· Experience with Microsoft Office
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
· An understanding of the importance of Advanced presentation, graphics and visualisation skills
· Enthusiasm for the role and it’s potential.
