About the Role
As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation including Digital Engineering / BIM Execution Plan, supply chain requirements i.e., Exchange Information Requirements / BIM scopes, design coordination reports etc. in line with management system templates and in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain the ACC Common Data Environment (CDE) for projects in delivery phase, including undertaking timely updates of federated models to support informed decision-making by project teams.
- Produce and regularly update project reports and dashboards and promptly notify internal stakeholders where risks are identified or delivery partner performance is inadequate.
- Develop construction staging models, drawings, animations (‘4D’), and other visualisations in close collaboration with internal stakeholders for tender submissions and in support of delivery phase planning.
- Produce ‘5D’ model quantity take-offs in consultation with internal stakeholders in support of estimating and the commercial administration of projects.
- Undertake audits of project BIM deliverables to ensure conformance with project contractual requirements.
- Chair project coordination meetings and provide guidance to ensure delivery partners prioritise resolution of time sensitive and higher risk issues.
- Undertake regular coordination and clash detection reviews for projects.
- Develop automation to execute repetitive modelling and model management tasks.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, or architecture.
- Experience managing BIM on major building projects, including developing and overseeing multidisciplinary coordination processes.
- Advanced skills in the following software: Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs, Model Coordination, and Design Collaboration modules), AutoCAD, Navisworks. Skills in the following software would be advantageous: PowerBI, Autodesk Recap, Dynamo for Revit, Unreal Engine / TwinMotion.
- Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and key Australian Standards applicable to the design and construction of buildings.
- Strong understanding of Industry Foundation Classes (.ifc)
- Strong understanding of the ISO 19650 suite of standards.
- Highly organised and able to support multiple projects concurrently by prioritising workload and managing stakeholder expectations.
