Role Description The Revit BIM Drafter at Apple Designs is a full-time hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC, with opportunities for partial work from home. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Revit and BIM models for wayfinding, signage, and environmental graphics projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with architectural and engineering documentation. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting architectural drawings, creating coordinated 2D and 3D documentation sets, updating models based on design revisions, and preparing production-ready drawings and schedules. The Revit BIM Drafter will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and external partners to resolve technical issues, maintain project standards, and support quality control throughout the design and implementation process. The position may also involve assisting with material take-offs, coordinating with fabricators, and contributing to the refinement of internal BIM standards and templates.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop detailed Architectural Drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows, with experience creating coordinated models and detailed documentation for architectural or signage projects.
- Familiarity with 3D visualization or rendering software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in signage, wayfinding, or environmental graphic design environments is preferred but not required.
