Key Responsibilities: -
Project Execution & Site Supervision
- Supervise and monitor daily MEP activities at the construction site.
- Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies, conflicts, or design issues.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications.
Planning & Coordination
- Prepare and monitor project work schedules and resource requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of MEP materials, equipment, and tools.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works.
- Attend project progress meetings and provide technical inputs and updates.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Quality Control
- Ensure all MEP installations meet quality standards and approved shop drawings.
- Conduct inspections and prepare snag lists for rectification.
- Monitor compliance with project quality plans and inspection procedures.
- Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections and approvals.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site HSE requirements.
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits.
- Ensure safe working practices are followed by all site personnel and subcontractors.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records, daily reports, progress reports, and inspection records.
- Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
- Monitor project progress against schedules and report delays or risks to management.
- Assist in preparation of variation orders, claims, and project closeout documentation.
- Coordinate with authorities and consultants for inspections and approvals.
Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems.
- Ensure all systems perform according to design requirements and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate final inspections and handover documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects.
- GCC/UAE contracting company experience preferred.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements and approvals in the UAE.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE building codes, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, and municipality regulations.
