Alfred Recruitment are currently working with a multi-award winning façade engineering consultancy, who with over more than 20 years in the industry have built themselves an exceptional reputation for quality and expertise. They are currently in a great stage of growth having massively expanded their portfolio, are so are now looking for a new Façade Engineer to join their team and bring their expertise to these exciting, high profile projects.
This role will suit someone with around 1-3 years of experience within façade engineering, as the role will come with a great deal of support from experienced mentors and the opportunity to be involved with some amazing, yet complex work.

What you’ll be doing
- Completing engineering analysis and structural engineering calculations across a wide range of façade system and elements
- Supporting a variety of internal projects, producing sketches, reports and specifications, coordinated with a range of stakeholders
- Working with external structural engineering consultants to ensure accuracy
- Carrying through calculations using TEDDS for various systems
- Carrying out site and factory visits where necessary, carrying out tests and reports when needed
- Be involved in the companies R&D process, responsible for helping form new initiatives
- Assisting the directors, associates and senior staff with other tasks as required.
What you’ll need for this role?
- At least 3 years’ experience working with a Façade Engineering role
- Must have a bachelor degree qualified and ideally working towards Chartered membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers (although not essential)
- Good practical and technical structural engineering knowledge and experience.
- The candidate should also have a good knowledge of facade materials, products, manufacturing methods and construction methods.
