Building Stationary Engineer
Examples of Duties
Under supervision, operates, maintains, and repairs boiler room equipment in a public building. Also operates, maintains, and repairs mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, building automation controls, and other equipment. Operates power plant and engine room equipment in a public building. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Within two years of the date of hire, a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Certification in one or more of the following specialties is required: Air Conditioning, Heat Pump, Gas Heat, or Gas Hydronic. Failure to obtain NATE certification will result in termination of employment. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required. A valid EPA Refrigeration Certificate is required. Must be able to work in high and/or confined spaces. Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds.
