We are seeking a Building Envelope Consultant to join our growing Building Science and Building Envelope team. This role involves the investigation, assessment, design, and rehabilitation of building enclosure systems across a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, healthcare, and mixed-use properties. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and project teams to diagnose building performance issues and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

This position offers exposure to roofing, waterproofing, façades, windows, curtain wall systems, air and vapor barriers, and building enclosure commissioning on both new construction and existing building projects

Key Responsibiliti

esConduct building envelope investigations and condition assessment
s.Perform field reviews, site inspections, and leak investigation
s.Evaluate roofing, waterproofing, façade, glazing, and exterior wall system
s.Prepare technical reports outlining observations, deficiencies, and recommended repair
s.Develop repair and rehabilitation designs for existing building envelope system
s.Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, and repair detail
s.Review shop drawings, submittals, and contractor requests for information (RFIs
).Provide construction administration and field observation services during repairs and new constructio
n.Conduct water intrusion testing, façade assessments, and performance evaluation
s.Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and building owner
s.Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and budget
s.Assist with proposal preparation, client development, and business development initiative

s.Required Qualificatio

nsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, or a related disciplin
e.3–10+ years of experience in Building Envelope, Building Science, Restoration, Architecture, or Structural Engineerin

nsProfessional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA
).RRO, RRC, RWC, RBEC, BECxP, or similar building enclosure certification
s.Experience with reserve studies, façade inspections, or existing building restoratio
n.Experience with ASTM testing and building enclosure commissionin
g.Knowledge of IBC, IEBC, ASTM, and local building code

s.Technical Skil
