Estimation Engineer (Civil Engineer) – Sharjah
We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer (Civil Engineer) to join our growing contracting team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions for infrastructure, roadworks, utilities, and civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract requirements.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and project documentation.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Perform rate analysis and prepare competitive tender pricing.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments during tender stages.
- Maintain updated cost databases and market rates.
- Review contract conditions and highlight commercial risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer within the UAE.
- Strong experience in infrastructure, roads, utilities, drainage, landscaping, and civil works projects.
- Experience in the Sharjah and Northern Emirates construction market is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of local suppliers, subcontractors, and market rates.
- Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and standard construction contract conditions.

- AutoCAD.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- PlanSwift, Candy, CostX, or similar estimation software.
Preferred Candidate
- Strong analytical and commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- UAE Driving License is an advantage.
