The Facade Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of all façade and building envelope works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, budget, and project schedules. The role serves as the key coordinator between architects, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure successful façade installation and project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage façade works from design development, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, to project handover.
- Coordinate façade design, shop drawings, technical submissions, and consultant approvals.
- Oversee façade subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, productivity, and schedule compliance.
- Monitor site installation activities and resolve technical and construction issues.
- Ensure façade systems comply with performance requirements, specifications, and authority regulations.
- Manage quality assurance activities, inspections, mock-ups, testing, and defect rectification.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and safe work practices.
- Monitor budgets, variation orders (VO), claims, and cost performance.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare progress reports, maintain project documentation, and support project close-out activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in façade or building envelope management.
- Strong knowledge of curtain walls, glazing, cladding, aluminium systems, and façade performance testing.
- Good leadership, technical coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
