The Intrax Project Division partners with clients across commercial, residential, education, health and infrastructure sectors to deliver innovative engineering solutions on complex, large-scale developments.
We're looking for an experienced
Hydraulic BIM Modeller to join our Sydney team. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and coordinating high-quality hydraulic services models within a multidisciplinary BIM environment, working closely with engineers, architects and other building services professionals to deliver projects from concept through to construction.
What You'll Be Doing
BIM Modelling & Documentation - Develop detailed 3D Revit models for hydraulic services, including:
- Potable water systems
- Drainage and sewer systems
- Stormwater systems
- Gas services
- Rainwater harvesting and reuse systems
- Prepare coordinated design documentation, including layouts, schematics and construction drawings.
- Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Level of Development (LOD) requirements and relevant standards, including ISO 19650.
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate hydraulic models with architectural, structural and MEP (mechanical, electrical and fire) disciplines.
- Participate in clash detection and model coordination using Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks.
- Attend coordination meetings and provide practical solutions to design and spatial conflicts.
- Work closely with hydraulic engineers and project teams throughout the design process.
Project Delivery
- Support the successful delivery of projects by producing accurate, coordinated models within agreed project timeframes.
- Maintain and update BIM models throughout concept, detailed design and construction phases.
- Contribute to efficient project delivery by collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure modelling work aligns with Intrax BIM standards, naming conventions and project-specific requirements.
- Complete quality reviews and model audits prior to issue.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of BIM processes, standards and workflows.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Demonstrated experience as a Hydraulic BIM Modeller or in a similar BIM modelling role.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience using Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic building services and Australian industry standards.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary BIM environments on building or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing project priorities.
Desirable
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience delivering large-scale commercial, residential or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
