Role Description The Architect role at Unitary is a full-time, on-site position based in Puducherry. Responsibilities include developing architectural concepts, preparing drawings and design documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. The architect will participate in site studies, material research, and bioclimatic analysis, ensuring that designs align with Unitary’s integral and holistic approach. Day-to-day tasks involve client interactions, design reviews, collaboration with consultants and contractors, and oversight of project execution to maintain design integrity and quality.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into detailed, buildable solutions.
- Experience with Software Development and Integration as they relate to architectural workflows, digital tools, or computational design is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, coordination, and monitoring of timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Relevant degree in Architecture from an accredited institution and eligibility to work in Puducherry.
- Skilled in design and documentation software (such as CAD/BIM tools), with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate in a studio environment, engage in research-led design, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Interest in bioclimatic design, sustainable materials, and phenomenological approaches to space is highly beneficial.
