Cuschieri Architects is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Architect to join our expanding team. We are looking for a professional with a minimum of three (3) years' experience working within the Maltese architectural industry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural design, technical detailing, project coordination, Planning Authority procedures, and site execution from concept through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare architectural drawings, planning applications, and technical documentation.
- Produce detailed construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate projects from concept design through to completion.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Attend site meetings and carry out regular site inspections.
- Ensure projects comply with Planning Authority regulations, Maltese Building Regulations, and local construction standards.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other specialist consultants.
- Resolve technical issues and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within programme.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working within an architectural practice in Malta.
- Sound knowledge of Planning Authority (PA) procedures, submissions, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of Maltese construction methods, detailing, and building regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Strong organisational, communication, and project coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Maltese is considered an advantage.
