MADWERKS ARCHITECTS is seeking experienced Architects/Architectural Designers to join our team.
You will be working closely with our directors, contributing to projects across all stages, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver thoughtful architectural projects ranging from boutique residential villas to apartment towers and curated commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and practical design solutions from project brief to schematic design.
- Prepare architectural drawings, models, visualisations, specifications and presentation materials.
- Present and communicate design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors and project teams throughout the design and construction process.
- Attend project meetings, site visits and inspections to support project delivery.
- Manage project information, documentation and stakeholder feedback.
- Ensure compliance with applicable planning requirements, building regulations, building codes and office quality standards.
- Maintain the design intent and quality of projects throughout all project stages.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture from a recognised institution.
- Relevant professional experience in an architectural practice.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D softwares including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Lumion or D5 Render.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design and productivity tools is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of construction methods and architectural documentation.
- Understanding of local planning requirements, building regulations, construction practices and construction administration, or the ability to acquire this knowledge quickly.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing design thinking, graphic communication and attention to detail.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for project-related travel.
- Eligible to live and work in Mauritius.
