One of New York's most ambitious and holistic design studios is seeking an Architect to join their small, Manhattan-based studio. This firm work in high-end residential, small scale cultural, boutique workplace, product design and landscape architecture - making them a hub of innovation, driven by good design, with a lot of experimentation with form and material.
The studio have won numerous awards, and feature prominently in yearly 'best of' lists. Their work is ambitious, and bespoke for every client, whether that's private, a business, or a higher education institute. They work through all phases of design and delivery, taking pride in the details as well as the aesthetics. They work in a non hierarchical way, allowing all members to staff to work to have input in the design vision, right the way through to completion on site, getting invaluable hands-on experience in the process. They have respect for their employee's personal time, with long hours not expected, and comp time given when needed.
They are looking for a talented Architect or Project Architect to join them, with between 5-10 years' experience. The role will entail getting your 'hands dirty' through all phases of design and construction, managing clients and consultants, and running projects - either autonomously or with with support from the Principals when needed - this role would suit an ambitious Project Architect who has experience of this already, or an Architect looking to take the next step to a Project Architect position.
