Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project/Design Architect based in Mermaid Beach, QLD. The Project/Design Architect will develop design concepts, prepare architectural drawings and documentation, and coordinate project delivery from early design through construction. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with clients and consultants, producing design presentations and feasibility studies, and ensuring that designs respond to site, climate, regulatory, and community requirements. The role involves managing project workflows, reviewing technical details and construction drawings, and supporting junior team members. The architect will work closely with the principals and wider team to maintain design quality, contribute to project reviews, and uphold BDA Architecture’s commitment to enduring, context-sensitive architecture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong architectural design and conceptual development skills, including experience with site-responsive and context-driven design.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in architectural documentation and detailing, including production of drawings and specifications suitable for approvals and construction.
