Architect / Project Architect – Columbus, OH
Our growing architecture team in Columbus, OH is seeking a talented Architect / Project Architect to join our collaborative studio. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about design, technical execution, and delivering high-quality projects across a variety of markets. The successful candidate will have experience leading projects through multiple phases of design and documentation while collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural projects from concept through construction administration
- Develop design concepts, presentations, and technical documentation
- Prepare and coordinate construction documents, specifications, and details
- Collaborate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients
- Coordinate architectural drawings with engineering disciplines and project requirements
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to design solutions
- Review construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and assist with site observations
- Mentor and support junior staff members while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 7+ years of professional architectural experience (experience level flexible)
- Proficiency in Revit and architectural design software
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and documentation standards
- Experience working through all phases of architectural projects preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Architectural registration/license preferred but not required
Preferred Experience:
- Commercial, healthcare, education, workplace, residential, or mixed-use project experience
- Experience coordinating consultants and managing project deliverables
- Ability to balance creative design thinking with strong technical execution
