Kling Consult International GmbH and Co KG Architectural Design & Engineering is a leading architectural and engineering consultancy headquartered in Germany. Established in 1954, KC opened its first international office in Dubai, U.A.E in 2004, and has since become prominent in the Middle East and Asia.
This is a full-time 6 days a week on-site role located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Inspect aluminum façade, curtain wall, cladding, windows, doors, and glazing installations.
- Ensure all façade works are conducted according to approved method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs)
- Verify that materials and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Do site inspection for the received Facade materials.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, or installation issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractor, subcontractors and the Engineer's team to resolve site related technical issues/findings.
- Prepare inspection reports, snag lists, and quality related documentation.
- Witness and document field tests such as water penetration, air infiltration, and structural performance tests where required.
- Conduct factory visits to monitor the quality and progress for production of the facade related items.
- Monitor corrective works and verify that defects have been rectified before approval. Maintain inspection records and support project quality assurance (QA/QC) activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 yearsof overall experience in façade inspection, construction supervision, or QA/QC.
- Minimum 8 years of experience inspecting façade works on residential, mixed-use, commercial, or high-rise developments within a consultancy/site supervision environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in UAE
- Strong knowledge of aluminium curtain wall systems, unitized and stick-built façades, cladding systems, glazing, windows, doors, skylights, and waterproofing interfaces.
- Familiarity with façade testing requirements, including water penetration, air infiltration, structural performance, and on-site mock-up testing.
- Good understanding of international standards, local authority requirements, and QA/QC procedures related to façade works.
- Proficient in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and material inspection requests (MIRs) and work inspection requests (WIRs).
