Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Toronto, ON, with the flexibility to work from home on occasion. The Building Envelope Specialist will support the assessment, design, and implementation of building envelope systems. Tasks include conducting inspections, diagnosing issues related to building performance, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with internal teams to develop project solutions. The Specialist will also provide client-facing consultation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in building envelope systems, wall cladding, windows & doors, and roofing solutions
- Proficiency in engineering principles, building diagnostics, and conducting building performance assessments
- Experience in technical report writing and presenting engineered solutions
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and clients
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools is an asset
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Professional accreditation (e.g., P.Eng., EIT, or equivalent) is preferred
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required for on-site inspections
