Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and creative Concept Architect to join our Design & Development team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in architectural concept design, preferably within residential, high-rise, mixed-use, or real estate development projects. The role involves translating project briefs, site opportunities, development requirements, and market considerations into innovative, functional, and commercially viable architectural concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop architectural concepts and design proposals for residential, high-rise, mixed-use, and other real estate projects.
- Prepare massing studies, site planning, conceptual layouts, elevations, sections, and design options.
- Analyze site opportunities, constraints, access, orientation, views, and surrounding context.
- Support the optimization of GFA, layouts, unit mix, circulation, parking, and amenities.
- Develop and evaluate alternative design options based on functionality, efficiency, design quality, and project requirements.
- Prepare architectural presentations, concept boards, diagrams, sketches, and 3D studies.
- Coordinate with external architectural, engineering, landscape, interior design, and specialist consultants.
- Review consultant design submissions and provide architectural feedback to maintain the approved design direction.
- Support the development of projects from concept design through schematic and design development stages.
- Ensure proposed concepts consider relevant UAE planning and authority requirements.
- Collaborate with Development, Project Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to align design with project and market requirements.
- Research contemporary architectural trends, materials, technologies, and innovative design solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
- 4–7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in architectural concept design and design development.
- Experience in residential and/or high-rise projects is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of massing, site planning, GFA optimization, unit layouts, and development efficiency.
- Good knowledge of architectural design principles and contemporary design trends.
- Strong architectural visualization and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp/Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design software.
- Ability to communicate design ideas clearly through drawings, diagrams, 3D models, and presentations.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to balance creative design, functionality, technical feasibility, and commercial requirements.
- UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a real estate developer or multidisciplinary architectural consultancy.
- Experience with high-rise residential or mixed-use developments.
- Exposure to development feasibility, GFA optimization, unit mix, and design efficiency studies.
- Experience coordinating with external consultants.
- Familiarity with UAE planning and authority requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a creative yet commercially aware architect who can develop strong architectural concepts while understanding the practical requirements of real estate development.
A strong portfolio demonstrating concept development, massing studies, and residential/high-rise projects is required.
