Role Description The Façade Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ad-Duqqi. This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating façade shop drawings to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project specifications and standards. The engineer will prepare and validate BOQs for façade works, support quantity surveying activities, and coordinate with civil and electrical engineering teams to resolve design and installation issues. Daily tasks include interfacing with project managers, consultants, and site teams, responding to technical queries, and updating documentation to reflect design changes or site conditions. The role also involves supporting quality assurance efforts and contributing to value engineering and optimization of façade designs.
Qualifications
- Strong capability in preparing and reviewing façade-related shop drawings, ensuring compliance with design intent and standards.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and cost-related documentation for façade and related works.
- Solid foundation in Civil Engineering principles relevant to façade systems, structural coordination, and building envelopes.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering aspects associated with façades, such as lighting, power supplies, and integrated systems.
- Experience in Quantity Surveying tasks, including measurement, cost estimation, and variation analysis for façade projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
- Competence with CAD and relevant design/engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in façade engineering or building envelope projects is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in façade engineering, aluminum, curtain wall, or cladding systems.
