Role Description The BIM Modeller is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The role involves developing and updating detailed 3D BIM models for structural, architectural, and MEP elements in line with project specifications and BIM standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, engineers, and architects to resolve design clashes, ensuring model accuracy, and supporting design value engineering. The BIM Modeller will prepare drawings, schedules, and reports extracted from BIM models, assist in project documentation, and maintain organized BIM files and version control. The role also includes supporting internal and external stakeholders with BIM-related queries, participating in coordination meetings, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.
Qualifications
- Strong BIM authoring skills with proficiency in software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related 3D modelling tools.
- Experience creating and managing BIM models for structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines in building projects.
- Knowledge of BIM standards, coordination processes, clash detection, and construction documentation practices.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering details, with attention to accuracy and consistency.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and site teams.
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; BIM certification is an advantage.
- Experience in high-rise or large-scale commercial projects is beneficial, especially within the Malaysian or ASEAN context.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and openness to learning new BIM technologies and workflows.
