Role Description The Façade Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza. The engineer will be responsible for developing and reviewing façade shop drawings, coordinating designs with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, and ensuring technical compliance with project specifications and codes. Daily tasks include preparing and updating BOQs for façade works, performing quantity take-offs, and supporting cost estimates in coordination with quantity surveying teams. The role also involves resolving technical issues related to façade systems, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and providing support during installation and execution phases. The engineer will maintain accurate documentation, participate in project meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement of façade design and engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Shop Drawings preparation, detailing, and coordination for façade systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in BOQ development, quantity take-offs, and basic Quantity Surveying for façade-related works.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering with knowledge of structural behavior and building envelope requirements.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Electrical Engineering interfaces relevant to façade systems (e.g., lighting, access systems).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Experience in façade design, curtain walls, cladding, and glazing systems is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD and façade design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent) and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of relevant international and local building codes and standards for façade engineering.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Giza, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
