Job Title: Senior Façade Designer
Location: Qarnayel - Lebanon
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Façade Designer with over 3 years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aluminum fabrication or architectural metalwork, excellent CAD skills, and the ability to lead design projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for developing detailed designs, mentoring junior designers, and coordinating closely with engineering, production, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of aluminum systems, assemblies, and components using 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, etc.).
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create shop drawings and fabrication details.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure design accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project goals.
- Review and check drawings produced by junior designers or draftsmen for accuracy and compliance.
- Optimize designs for aluminum strength, weight, cost, and fabrication methods.
- Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), design documentation, and revision control.
- Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, and site visits when required.
- Stay updated with aluminum standards, new technologies, and material developments.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Design, Architectural Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in aluminum design (e.g., facades, curtain walls, structural components, or custom fabrications).
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD is required; SolidWorks, Inventor, or Revit is a plus).
- Strong understanding of aluminum profiles, extrusions, joinery, and fabrication methods.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (ISO, ASTM, EN, etc.).
- Knowledge in aluminum software (Wictop, Orgadata, Logikal, opticut or any other data base.)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in architectural aluminum systems (e.g., unitized facades, Stick system cladding, windows/doors).
- Familiarity with CNC manufacturing, cutting, and welding considerations for aluminum.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional site or factory visits.
- Collaborative environment with cross-functional interaction between design, production, and project teams.
