Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Faade Designer to support the design, development, and execution of building faade systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of faade materials, performance requirements, and industry standards, along with proficiency in 2D/3D design software.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Develop conceptual and detailed faade designs (glass, aluminum, stone, ACP, curtain wall, cladding, etc.).
- Prepare faade shop drawings, elevations, sections, and detail drawings.
- Conduct structural, thermal, and performance analysis of faade systems.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to ensure integration with building design.
Project Coordination
- Review architectural drawings and provide faade design recommendations.
- Support faade consultants and contractors during design review and approval stages.
- Conduct site visits to verify installation quality and resolve faade-related issues.
- Assist in mock-up preparation and testing processes.
Material & Technical Documentation
- Prepare BOQs, material specifications, and faade performance criteria.
- Evaluate faade materials, finishes, and systems for cost, durability, and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, fire safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Faade Engineering, or related field.
- 28+ years of experience in faade design (depending on seniority).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other faade modeling tools.
- Knowledge of international faade standards (ASTM, EN, BS, NBC, etc.).
- Strong understanding of structural glazing, curtain wall systems, cladding materials, and faade construction.
- Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and faade system documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience working with faade contractors and suppliers.
