TYG is working with a top firm in Raleigh who are seeking an experienced design professional to take a leading role in delivering complex projects from concept through completion. This position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strong client engagement, and oversight of both design and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads project teams by fostering collaboration, clear communication, and strong direction to support successful outcomes and innovative solutions.
- Works with stakeholders to define project requirements, including spatial needs, materials, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinates design development and technical documentation for review and approval.
- Prepares detailed construction drawings and associated documentation.
- Establishes and monitors project workflows and standards.
- Oversees construction phase activities to ensure alignment with design intent and contract requirements.
- Utilizes design software to develop plans and technical drawings.
- Participates in internal and external project meetings as needed.
- Maintains clear communication across teams through regular updates and documentation.
- Reviews and guides the work of junior team members.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases.
- Maintains effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Documents project conditions and progress as required.
- Supports the development of junior staff through mentorship and feedback.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on complex technical projects within a regulated environment is required.
- Professional degree in architecture or a related field.
- Significant industry experience, including several years in a licensed capacity, with a strong portfolio of relevant project work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software.
- Willingness to travel periodically based on project needs.
- Professional licensure required; additional certifications are advantageous.
