The Role
As Technical Manager, you will lead the technical and engineering function, ensuring all design, fabrication, and installation processes meet project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
You will act as the central technical authority across multiple projects, working closely with design, production, and project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical/engineering department for aluminium and glazing systems
- Oversee design development, shop drawings, and technical submittals
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality standards
- Provide technical support to production, procurement, and site teams
- Review and approve system designs, calculations, and material selections
- Liaise with consultants, architects, and clients on technical matters
- Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality
- Manage and develop a team of engineers and draftsmen
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline)
- 10–15+ years’ experience in aluminium and façade systems
- Strong expertise in curtain walling, glazing systems, and façade engineering
- Experience within a manufacturing or specialist subcontractor environment
- Proficiency in relevant design software and technical standards
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- GCC/UAE experience is highly preferred
