About the Role
We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to support BIM coordination works for railway, electrical, and infrastructure projects in Singapore.
This role is suitable for candidates with relevant experience in BIM coordination for rail, electrical, power supply, E&M, or infrastructure project environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating BIM models across multiple disciplines, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards, client requirements, and relevant authority requirements.
The position offers the opportunity to be involved in major rail and infrastructure projects and to support multidisciplinary design coordination, model management, clash detection, authority submissions, and project delivery in a technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. BIM Coordination & Model Management
- Coordinate BIM models for railway, electrical, power supply, and E&M systems across different disciplines and project stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with project standards and requirements.
- Support model coordination activities to ensure design information is properly integrated across engineering and project teams.
- Ensure BIM deliverables are prepared and maintained in accordance with approved workflows, standards, and project requirements.
2. Clash Detection & Technical Coordination
- Perform clash detection and coordination using BIM software and follow up on issue resolution with the relevant parties.
- Identify model coordination issues, interface conflicts, and design inconsistencies, and assist in tracking them through to closure.
- Liaise with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams on BIM coordination matters.
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to support technical coordination and improve model quality throughout the project lifecycle.
3. BIM Standards, Documentation & Submissions
- Support the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan and project BIM standards.
- Assist in BIM submissions to authorities such as LTA or BCA where required.
- Maintain proper BIM documentation, model records, version control, and coordination logs.
- Ensure BIM related documents, reports, and model updates are properly organised and traceable for internal use and external submission purposes.
4. Drawing Extraction & Project Support
- Extract drawings, layouts, schedules, and quantities from BIM models in support of project requirements.
- Assist project teams with BIM related outputs for design coordination, construction planning, and technical review.
- Support day to day BIM related coordination and project administration matters as required.
- Contribute to smooth project delivery through timely model updates, documentation support, and coordination follow up.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant BIM coordination experience in rail, electrical, E&M, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of BIM coordination workflows, model management, and clash detection processes.
- Experience or exposure to railway systems, power supply systems, or LTA projects will be an advantage.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Able to work independently and in a project based environment.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken. Ability to communicate in Chinese will be an advantage for coordination with Chinese speaking stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in railway, metro, MRT, electrical, power supply, E&M, or public infrastructure projects in Singapore will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with BIM submissions to LTA, BCA, or other relevant authorities will be beneficial.
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination involving engineering, design, and project teams will be preferred.
- Exposure to model based drawing extraction, quantity take off, and BIM documentation control will be an advantage.
