Role Description
ASCO Aluminum is seeking a Facade Technical Engineer to support the design, engineering, and coordination of aluminum and glass facade systems, including curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding, skylights, and frameless partitions for projects across Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed facade designs, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings in line with project specifications & standards
- Perform structural and thermal assessments of facade systems and propose technical solutions and value engineering options.
- Prepare material take-offs, BOQs, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams (design, production, installation) to resolve technical issues.
- Review IFC drawings, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs; ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
- Support procurement with technical evaluations and approvals of systems, accessories, and finishes.
- Provide on-site technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning; address NCRs and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, revision control, and as-built records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, or Tekla is a plus.
- Experience with facade analysis tools; Familiarity with structural and thermal design principles is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of curtain wall systems, windows/doors, cladding, glazing types, sealants, and accessories.
- Experience producing shop/fabrication drawings and coordinating with manufacturing (CNC) and site teams.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and quality.
- Have a good knowledge with Aluminum local & international systems
- Have a good knowledge in the technical software such ORGDATA
- - Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
