About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Site Architect to join our team at a leading engineering consultancy firm. This role is essential to the successful delivery of large-scale and complex building projects, particularly within the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in architectural design, construction detailing, and site coordination, with hands-on experience in overseeing healthcare or institutional projects during the construction phase.
As a Site Architect, you will be responsible for supervising architectural works on-site, reviewing contractor submittals, ensuring compliance with design intent, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support smooth project execution. You will contribute to resolving construction-related architectural issues while ensuring quality, functionality, and compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise the on-site implementation of architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, mockups, and method statements submitted by contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality of work, compliance with codes, and adherence to design intent.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve site-related design and construction issues.
• Assist in managing architectural RFIs, NCRs, and technical queries, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support the evaluation of contractor proposals and architectural modifications while maintaining project functionality and quality standards.
• Prepare architectural site reports, snag lists, progress updates, and quality assessments.
• Monitor construction progress and assist in achieving project milestones and deliverables.
• Liaise with client representatives, contractors, operators, and authorities for inspections, approvals, and coordination requirements.
• Promote best practices in healthcare facility design, infection control during construction (ICRA), and patient-focused planning principles where applicable.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 7 years of architectural experience, including experience in site supervision of large-scale building projects.
• Experience in healthcare, hospital, medical center, or institutional projects is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of local and international building codes, authority regulations, and construction standards.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination, site supervision practices, and construction documentation processes.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and review contractor submissions.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Registration with a recognized architectural authority or professional body is an advantage.
• Prior GCC experience is preferred.
