Responsibilities:
- Prepare pre-contract and post-contract BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
- Develop project BIM process requirements in accordance with client requirements, including MIDP, MDS, BIM workflows, LOIN matrices, classification systems, COBie requirements, and related documentation
- Utilize advanced BIM software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and Revit to create detailed 3D models of port and marine infrastructure components
- Develop realistic renderings and visualizations to communicate design intent, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and support decision-making processes
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, coastal engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate maritime-specific elements into BIM models
- Ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the overall design framework
- Conduct comprehensive clash detection analyses to identify and resolve conflicts among various disciplines within BIM models
- Work closely with project teams to address clashes and discrepancies, ensuring coordinated designs and minimizing construction rework
- Extract accurate quantity take-offs and material estimates from BIM models to support cost estimation, procurement, and project scheduling activities
- Generate detailed reports and schedules to facilitate project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Ensure BIM models comply with relevant maritime standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and documentation based on BIM models to support regulatory approvals and construction activities
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings, workshops, and design reviews to exchange information, address concerns, and resolve design issues
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in BIM and maritime/coastal engineering
- Identify opportunities to optimize design workflows, enhance productivity, and improve project outcomes through the implementation of innovative BIM methodologies and tools.
Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil, Construction, Architecture, or Structural Engineering), or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Synchro, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Power BI, and Dynamo.
- Professional certifications in Revit, Civil 3D, and Navisworks are preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably within similar industries.
