We're looking for a Façade Design Engineer to join our technical team and work on unique projects with internationally renowned architects across Albania and Europe. You'll take architectural and structural inputs and turn them into buildable, high-performance design solutions, working closely with our engineering, production, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical designs, shop drawings, and documentation for curtain wall and façade systems (unitised, stick, ventilated façades, windows/doors, balustrades, canopies) based on architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate design phases, including static, thermal, acoustic, and waterproofing requirements, with internal engineers and external consultants.
- Prepare technical documentation for procurement, production, and installation.
- Work cross-functionally with our Production and Installation departments to ensure solutions are aligned, buildable, and cost-effective — from material selection through fabrication and on-site assembly.
- Review your own and colleagues' deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Manage your own design schedule and deliverables, keeping accurate project and time records.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, consultants, and suppliers to integrate façade solutions seamlessly into building projects.
- Attend client meetings and site visits when required.
- Contribute to improving our internal design processes, tools, and standards.
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in façade or building envelope design.
- Solid knowledge of façade systems: unitised and stick curtain wall, ventilated façades, windows/doors, balustrades, canopies, and similar.
- Good understanding of fabrication and installation processes, so your designs are practical, efficient, and buildable.
- Understanding of the structural, thermal, fire, acoustic, waterproofing, and drainage principles of façade systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g. EN, CWCT).
- Proficient in AutoCAD. Experience with 3D modelling software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, or Tekla) is an advantage.
- Comfortable with the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Fluency in English (minimum B2).
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
