Role Description The Technical Director / Manager Facades is a full-time, on-site role based in Ras Al Khaimah. This role oversees the technical design, engineering, and delivery of facade projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, performance requirements, and client specifications. Responsibilities include leading the facade engineering team, reviewing and approving technical drawings and calculations, coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and guiding value engineering and optimization of facade systems. The role involves monitoring project progress, resolving technical challenges, supporting tender and bid processes, and contributing to innovation in facade materials, systems, and installation methods. The Technical Director / Manager Facades also ensures adherence to quality control procedures and alignment with Quantum Industries’ strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Team Management and Team Leadership, with experience guiding multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Strong background in Research and Development (R&D), focused on facade systems, materials, performance testing, and innovation.
- Proficiency in Project Management for complex facade projects, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Relevant Software Development or software proficiency for engineering and design tools (e.g., CAD, BIM, structural analysis or facade design software).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience in facade engineering, curtain wall systems, structural glazing, and aluminum and glass solutions in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of building codes, facade performance standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in the UAE or GCC construction market is an advantage.
