The ideal candidate's background will be suited to lead investigations into existing buildings, assess structural performance, develop repair strategies and oversee projects (façade restoration, structural rehabilitation, waterproofing, parking structures and complex building envelope repair) from initial assessment through design and construction support. THE ROLE
* Lead investigations and condition assessments of existing buildings, identifying structural and building envelope deficiencies.
* Deliver rehabilitation, restoration and repair projects from investigation and design through to construction support and site observation.
* Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, drawings and specifications while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Build strong client relationships, mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.
THE PERSON
* Professional Engineer (PE) with experience in structural engineering, building restoration, rehabilitation or existing buildings.
* Strong technical knowledge of structural systems, façades, waterproofing and building envelope assemblies.
* Proven experience managing engineering projects from investigation through construction with excellent communication skills.
