At Holmes, we're growing our façade engineering capability and looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. This is a great opportunity to get in early, influence the direction of the team, and play a key role in delivering an exciting and growing pipeline of work.
You'll work across a range of commercial and residential projects, supporting both project delivery and the continued growth of our façade capability. With a strong and growing pipeline of commercial façade work, this is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects and building our capability in the sector.
In this role, you will
- Deliver façade and building envelope projects, or packages of work, with increasing independence
- Provide technical input on design, assessment, investigation, rehabilitation, and construction projects
- Work closely with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and Holmes' internal teams
- Contribute to design reviews, project planning, and technical delivery
- Support proposals, scoping, and fee development, depending on experience
- Bring specialist capability that adds value beyond compliance, such as building physics, WUFI analysis, sustainability, computational design, or specialist façade systems
- Help grow team capability by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and improving tools and processes
What we're looking for
We're open to candidates across a range of levels, from Intermediate through to Senior level.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong technical expertise in façade engineering, building envelopes, or a related field
- Experience delivering façade projects and practical, buildable solutions
- Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of project scope, fees, and risk
Candidates with adjacent experience, including architectural professionals with strong façade delivery and product knowledge, may also be of interest.
