Role Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team, focused on producing accurate and code-compliant calculation sheets for aluminum architectural systems. This is a technical, desk-based role with high output expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural calculation sheets for aluminum profiles including windows, doors, curtain walls, façades, ACP cladding, louvers, and similar systems.
- Verify section properties, deflection limits, and load-bearing capacities per project specifications
- Attend and contribute to technical meetings with consultants, clients, and project stakeholders, providing engineering input and clarifying calculation assumptions where required
- Coordinate with design and site teams to ensure calculations align with actual installation conditions
- Review supplier technical data and ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. EN 1999 / Eurocode 9 or equivalent)
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in aluminum façade or fenestration engineering
- Proficiency in producing manual and software-assisted calculation sheets
- Solid understanding of wind load analysis, thermal movement, and fixing/anchor design
- Familiarity with aluminum extrusion profiles and system supplier documentation (e.g. Schüco, Alumil, YKK, or similar)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AAMA, BS, or EN standards
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit for reference drawings
- Strong command of Excel-based engineering templates
