The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for creating 3D models which output architectural drawings and M&E design plans for buildings, utility drawings, machinery layout drawings, pipework drawings and isometrics, P&IDs, and 3D visualisations, working within the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities
- Production of detailed, accurate 3D models based on the design engineer’s sketches, calculations and input using BIM software
- Responsible for processing and managing point cloud survey data to support accurate BIM model creation and coordination
- Coordination of all services based on the design engineer’s input
- Generating plans, elevations and isometric drawings from the design engineer’s input while having an appreciation of civil, mechanical, electrical and process systems
- Generation and knowledge of P&IDs
- Production of isometric drawings for pipe fabrication and installation
- Supporting and liaising with the engineering design teams across the Group
- Co-ordination, clash detection management and performing QA/QC procedures
- Attending project team and coordination meetings as required
- Ability to visit sites and complete surveys to a high standard
- Supporting the engineering design team, liaise and collaborate with external design teams, on CAD matters as appropriate
- Maintaining and improving the drawing office quality standards and documentation
- Ensure adherence to industry BIM standards
- Coordinate the preparation of all handover documentation
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and ability to work alone or within a team.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of at least 3 years’ experience in Revit
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD and Inventor or similar, would be advantageous
- Knowledge of M&E services coordination is desirable
- Knowledge and/or experience in BIM is desirable
- The individual should be self-motivated, eager to learn and prepared to progress within the company
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a multi-disciplined team to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
- A range of administrative skills is required, involving the use of PCs and Microsoft Office applications
Required Skills
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- A good working knowledge of Revit M&E
- Previous experience working within an M&E design or process design environment.
- Working knowledge of generating models from point cloud surveys
- Knowledge of BIM
Preferred Skills
- Experience using SketchUp
- Experience using Inventor
- Experience of working on design projects within a pharmaceutical or food environment
