Job Title: Civil Engineer

Role Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for supporting the Projects Department by planning, coordinating, and overseeing civil engineering projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves project monitoring, contractor and consultant management, technical review, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with HSE and asset management standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure project management.
- Proven experience in planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering standards, and project lifecycle management.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contractor documentation.
- Knowledge of tendering processes, contract administration, and project cost management.
- Familiarity with project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and quality management practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in utility, infrastructure, energy, or public sector projects.
- Knowledge of EPC project execution and consultancy contract management.
- Familiarity with Asset Management principles and ISO 55001 standards.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001), and ISO 27001 standards.
- Proficiency in project management and engineering software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Strong negotiation and contractor management skills.
- Excellent report writing, documentation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
