Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with MOHESR Equivalency
- Engineer's License from Abu Dhabi Municipality
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a civil estimation role in the UAE
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Water transmission pipelines
- Sewerage networks
- Pump stations
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
- Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants
- RCC reservoirs and associated civil structures
- Cost Estimation & Rate Analysis
- Tendering & Bid Preparation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs (QTOs), Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and detailed cost estimates from tender drawings and specifications.
- Prepare cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, RO plants, reservoirs, and associated civil works.
- Review tender documents, identify project scope, and prepare technical and commercial clarifications where required.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and perform rate analysis.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams during the tendering process.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering proposals to support competitive bids.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in accordance with client requirements.
- Maintain estimating records, cost databases, and historical pricing information to improve estimating accuracy.
- Support the handover of awarded projects by providing estimate details and tender assumptions to the project execution team.
